Bio:

Razieh Nejabat holds a bachelor's degree in Physics from K.N. Toosi University of Technology in Tehran, and a master's degree in Executive Management from the Industrial Management Institute, Tehran. She earned her PhD at Delft University of Technology in the Netherlands, in the Economics of Technology and Innovation section of the Department of Values, Technology and Innovation, where her research focused on energy transition dynamics and the role of small high-tech firms in shaping sustainable energy markets. She also worked as a research associate at the Chair of Energy Economics and Management at RWTH Aachen University, investigating the social and economic conditions that shape the adoption of new energy technologies. She joined the University of Duisburg-Essen as a postdoctoral researcher, where she is part of the ERC-funded project: Gig Economy – Varieties of Digital Labour Markets, exploring how digital platform structures and institutional contexts shape labour market outcomes globally. Her broader research interests centre on how technological change shapes markets, institutions, and social outcomes; from sustainable energy transitions to the rise of digital labour platforms.
